Mercury Recycling

Continuous improvement of mercury distillers and recycling machines to save costs and protect the environment by reusing the existing mercury

In order to minimize existing mercury volumes in our environment, recycling is the most viable option. Recovering and reusing the mercury is generally considered to be the best and most environmentally sound solution.

Ferrostaal offers the supply of two types of mercury distillers, batch distillers and continuous process distillers, which can be chosen on the basis of the waste and volume to process: The batch distillers are designed to process moderate volumes of heavily amalgamated materials or material with a relatively high organic content. Meanwhile, the continuous process distillers are designed to process high volumes of less amalgamated wastes with low organic content.

Batch Distillers:

  • Fluorescent powder
  • Crushed lamps
  • Batteries
  • Dental amalgam
  • Military waste

Continuous Process Distillers:

  • Fluorescent powder
  • Crushed lamps
  • Sludges backlights
  • Exhaust pipes
